MOOMIN original artworks exhibition will be held in Seoul Art Center, sponsored by NOROO Group.

<MOOMIN Original Art Work Exhibition> will be held from September 2nd (Sat) to November 26th(Sun), 2017 at Seoul Arts Center Hangaram Design Museum. 1
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Finland, which is also a homeland of Moomin, “MOOMIN Original Art Work Exhibition” will be introduced to Korean local visitors for the first time. It will present Moomin's mother’s, Tove Marika Jansson, original works and unpublished works owned by Moomin Copyright, that show the 70 years’ chronology of Moomin’s life in one place.

This exhibition, co-hosted by Seoul Arts Center and CCOC, is composed of
7 sections, including a space with 350 pieces of original paintings, Moomin Library, Moomin Theater and also a participatory space where visitors can experience the work directly.
Moomin Original Art Works that will be introduced in this exhibition are a collection of works that were held in Finland in Tampere Moomin Museum, Moomin Characters, Helsinki Municipal Museum of Art, Helsinki Drama Museum, etc. Moomin copyright holder Sophia Jansson, Nina Lahtinen (curator of the museum in Tampere, Finland), Courier Linda Elisabeth (courier · Works Safety Management Service), together with NOROO-Pantone Color Research Institute(NPCI) participated in the curation to maximize the completeness of the exhibition.
Ticket price ranges from 9,000 won to 13,000 won and can be booked at the official website (www.moominart.com).

Moomin's mother, Finnish national painter, Tove Marika Jansson’s Art World and Life of Moomin start from the self-written and illustrated novel book called <THE MOOMINS AND THE GREAT FLOOD>, and became well-known all to public by the works of comics, animations and more. Currently Moomin is a character loved by people not only from Finland, but even people from beyond Europe, from all over the world.

Currently, Moomin-related works are evaluated as works of art containing stories. In this exhibition, paintings, books, props and photographs of Tove Marika Jansson, the artist who created Moomin will be exhibited.
This will be a special opportunity to see one of the Finnish national painter and the mother of Moomin, Tove Marika Jansson at the exhibition.

You can enjoy the opportunity to become a friend of Moomin and together with your friends experience a fairy tale life of Moomin in the valley of Finland through various adventures in the special Moomin Experience Zone. The warm hearting message shines through each piece of work and Moomin’s adventure, bringing the love between family members, friendship between friends and respect among people.  In this exhibition, a variety of Moomin books published in Korea will be introduced, and a digital library will also be built as part of the multimedia experience program. During the exhibition period, Moomin friends will walk around the museum to create the atmosphere and bring a lot of fun to visitors.
