NOROO, a major player throughout
the history of Korea’s chemical industry
Since its establishment in 1945, NOROO has exerted its influence across various business areas such as paint, ink, resin, and plastics for around 70 years, leading the history of Korea’s industrial development.

As Korea’s representative general fine chemical company, NOROO was divided into two organizations on June 1, 2006, to focus on specific business sectors: NOROO Holdings Co., Ltd., which is in charge of investment, and NOROO Paint & Coatings Co., Ltd., which is in charge of manufacturing and sales.

NOROO Holdings Co., Ltd. is an operating holding company that aims to effectively make investments and manage performance by possessing the shares of its subsidiaries. In the short run, NOROO Holdings Co., Ltd. will develop policies and strategies to maximize its subsidiaries’ profits, establishing the group’s status, enhance management efficiency, and establish a responsible management system.

In the long run, NOROO Holdings Co., Ltd. will maximize the synergistic effect among its subsidiaries through information sharing and carry out business activities to develop promising businesses in relation to new tree species.

  DAIHAN INK produces various kinds of ink including sheet-fed ink, rotary ink, newspaper ink, and superior quality ink, such as metal ink and UV-curable ink. The company obtained a quality certificate and an environmental management certificate through continuous investment and company-wide efforts. In 2007, the company obtained U.S. FDA certification for its development of SolFree, eco-friendly solvent-free ink.
